Press Conference: “HOPEFULLY WE CAN BRING HIM CLOSE” | Mikel Arteta previews #ARSNEW

Mikel Arteta faces the press ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Newcastle at the Emirates on Saturday.

The Gunners will have the chance to make up for the recent 4-0 humiliation to Liverpool when they host Eddie Howe’s Magpies who are still searching for their first win of the season.

Whilst that humbling defeat at Anfield ended Arsenal ‘s 10-game unbeaten run across all competitions, they remain fifth in the Premier League table and Arteta will be hoping for a positive response from his side as the race for Europe hots up.

Ahead of Saturday’s clash, the Spaniard was quizzed on Granit Xhaka’s return date from injury, the importance of bouncing back after the Liverpool loss and Joe Willock’s return to the Emirates.

The Gunners boss was also asked about the futures of Alexandre Lacazette and Jack Wilshere as well as a potential return to Arsenal for Arsene Wenger.
