1) Report says there’s no way Arsenal will sell Bernd Leno
According to a report from The Athletic, Arsenal have no intention of letting Bernd Leno leave in the January transfer window.
The German dropped out of the side after conceding nine goals in his first three games this season. Aaron Ramsdale replaced him and Arsenal have lost just once in all competitions since.
2) Arsenal defender Saliba owes Marseille after Lazio error
Arsenal defender William Saliba admits he owes loan club Olympique Marseille a performance tonight.
Olumpique Marseille meet Galatasaray in the Europa League and Saliba is eager to make up for his last match in the competition.
3) Arteta hoping Arsenal first-team pathway leads to Patino extension
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta hopes that a viable path to the first team will lead to contract extensions for youngsters such as Charlie Patino, reports football.london.
The Gunners are aware they have many talented footballers coming through the academy, but that those players are desperate to get regular game time.
4) Garlick confirms Arsenal looking to avoid repeat of contract fiasco with Lacazette
Arsenal director of football operations Richard Garlick has suggested the club are not going to repeat the contract issues they experienced with players in the past.
The Gunners have often been left with their tails between their legs when star players such as Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey ran down their contracts.
Now they are facing a decision on Alexandre Lacazette, who is out of contract in the summer.
5) Arteta says he has noticed something about Arsenal for the very first time
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta faced the media today ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against Newcastle United on Saturday.
Arteta believes so and he has claimed that he saw something right after the game at Anfield that he has never seen before at Arsenal.
In his press conference this morning, Arteta was asked if he had seen a reaction from his players after the hammering at Anfield.
6) Arsenal plan to bank €55m from trio of sales, money could go towards midfielder signing
Arsenal are reportedly willing to cash in on three players in order to raise transfer funds for a move for Lille midfielder Renato Sanches.
The Gunners are said to be hoping to raise around €55million from selling Alexandre Lacazette, Eddie Nketiah and Bernd Leno, with the money then likely to be reinvested in moving for Sanches, according to Calciomercato.
7) Arteta opens door for re-signing Wilshere at Arsenal, with seven-word response
Mikel Arteta has opened the door for Arsenal to possibly re-sign Jack Wilshere, with a seven-word response in his latest press conference.
Wilshere, 29, has been training with Arsenal having failed to find a new club. He has also been coaching some of Arsenal’s youngsters.
8) Arteta is in love with Premier League player and ‘convinced he is perfect’ for Arsenal, Romano says
Fabrizio Romano has told The Arsenal Lounge that Mikel Arteta thinks Manchester City star Raheem Sterling would be “perfect” for The Gunners.
Sterling, 26, is already incredibly experienced for his age. A three-time Premier League winner, he already has 438 club games under his belt.
Not only that, but Sterling has 72 caps for England – an incredible tally at just 26. He will not be used to his intermittent game time at City, now.
