  1. “We can’t afford the luxury of thinking about the future until we end this war.” A lot of great Avasarala moments with Bobbie and Drummer. Filip and Tadeo. Drummer with Michio and Naomi. Bobbie and Amos. With you or with you? Whatever. Only one episode left let me know where you’re at.

  2. Drummer and Holden are kind of the same kind of semi mythical figures in sol system at the core of a LOT of recent history ,..Marcos in same category for different kinds of fame ,..come on stomping round on jerry rigged legs to save humanity thats fucking legend and thats only one of sooo many moments i think most belters would follow her into the sun,..fuck i would

  3. where are those ships vanishing? i thought it would be happening when they travel through the ring but they seem to vanish in open space passing some black smoke

  4. Was a wise move for Avasarala and Drummer to come to an agreement out in public, that way Drummer isn't perceived as being under the U.N's control but more as an equal partner in the war.

  5. I was really hoping the 6th season would be another winner. So far 1-4 have been very disappointing. Episode 5 was a bit of a redeeming factor. Except most of the laconia storyline is a minus to the the rest of the show. I think the show would of been better off dropping the laconia story all together. Just focus on the back and forth with the belters and the inners.
Everything about this season has felt awkward and low budget. The direction is some places are okay. While others just felt wrong. People looking off stage sort of thing. Like they are reading cards for there next line. This really isn't the best season. Drummer and Bobbie have really been a light in the dark though. Everyone else mostly are just going though the motions. Or so seemed that way to me.

  6. Unfortunately I am no longer enjoying the Expanse. I think it's just too rushed and the stakes don't feel that high. I think it's because Holden and crew aren't really in much danger. If they were trapped in ring space and Marco had them on the ropes then I feel that would be much better

  7. Hi Peter thanks for your synopsis and insights. Please consider watching HBO "Beforeigners"! The trailer is awful but the series is excellent and I pick up completely different insights if I listen to the dubs or listen to the actual Norwegian etc. with subtitles it's like two different experiences. I think you'll really enjoy it and I think your audience here on YouTube would really enjoy your synopsis. I also watched VIGIL it was so good I paid for a month of commercial free watching on Peacock but that was the only thing I wanted to watch it's not a nuclear submarine it's kind of like an Agatha Christie on a nuclear submarine

  8. Unfortunaltely it is a little bit as I feared. One Episode left and too much stuff left which they could have covered in detail in 2 or 3 more episodes. The stuff happening on Laconia is way to short, the ring problem itself, the struggle of Amos and Bobby, they MRCN fight… all of this could have used some more time. Now one Episode left and in my opinion they will not be able to resolve everything. It feels rushed.

  9. Drummer s absolutely the stand out character. Bobbie has evolved and always delivers. Avasarala always watchable, but her "dad jokes" still feel awkward and flat. The books were written by two people, right? Maybe this is why some script elements feel so inconsistent in quality? Hard to be sure.
There's so much wrong with season 6 though, and little that's right,, the use of limited episodes has not been efficient or effective enough. The "strange dogs" parallel story is weak, every single episode. Again, poor script, and poor performances also very, poor visually,, as if this was bolted on by the show makers in a rush with virtually no budget or time, which I don't understand as surely much money and time is saved reducing a season to 6 episodes?
I could go on, but I don't want to criticize a show endlessly, when there have been such high points and huge potential in seasons 1-5.
The only question now: will the finale turn any of this around?

  10. I want more of protomolecule focusing scenes. I want to see the species that created the protomolecule and the species that destroyed them and how. After the war is over, i want to see a prequel and a sequel of this fantastic show.

  11. The most surprising thing to me: I didn't know medical tech in the Expanse Universe was so advanced that you could regrow a limb (I thought Drummer's recovery had more to do with 'cybernetics' i guess)

  12. Episode 6 had better at least be a double-length episode. Not just a season closer, but a closer to the whole series? A mere 40-minute duration would seem… disrespectful, somehow.

  13. *Filip is learning more about his dad. I believe he will used a repair shuttle to escape the ship and his dad. Why else would we be shown that Filip learned how to pilot one?
*I believe the rocks the Free Navy were going to use against Earth will be used to fight the rail guns mounted on the ring. No one said they were destroyed.

  14. The series reminds me of when TNG was in it's 6th and 7th season.
Sci Fi at it's very best…..
Also unfortunately it's like the last episodes of TNG ….all good things….
I'm delighted with the show and sad it's ending.

  15. Great ending of this ep, with just that handshake. Notice the camera motion and final angle in those dramatic ending seconds. Good work along with good editing.

  16. Hi Pete. So far on the reaction videos, no one has addressed the opening credits and the last scene where Holden is in a suit at the Ring Gate… I think this is a hint as to how this season will end. Will Holden go find Miller at the Ring? The last episode will obviously have to cover the war with the Free Navy but that last scene in the opening credits makes me think the ending will be left open, involving Holden and the Ring…

  17. I love how they are NOT rushing things. It seems like the finale of this season will not seek to tie everything up, only the immediate plot threads, and leave so much open for a near future continuation. I love how they are not letting Amazon's decision force them into ruining what they have so carefully created. It's better to leave it as a potentially unfinished symphony than to ruin things in the way Game of Thrones did with its terrible ending.

  18. So sad to see this end. I wonder what role that nuke that the Roci disarmed will play in this? I hope there is more Expanse to come in the future.
