  1. Thank you for this video. I've been to 36 of the US 50 states, 13 countries, three continents, I'm older than most English teachers in Viet Nam and I've only heard, "I'm good/fine, thank you and you?" from my students in Viet Nam. I've never heard that from a native-English speaker anywhere on the planet, yet it's taught and followed in Viet Nam like it's a religion. This demonstrates the gap between academia and reality.

  2. i was born in Vietnam but raised my whole life in the US. trying to learn vietnamese is the hardest thing i’ve ever done 😂 it’s almost easier to me to learn spanish or japanese.

  3. Hello, "teacher"! You need pay much attention to your pronunciation on "hissing sounds". Final "s" of a word is so important in teaching a language for new beginners. For instance: words, wants, churches, weeks, potatoes… Thank you !

  4. Actually…… my family speak Vietnamese and I wanted to learn Vietnamese and it’s pretty good to learn Vietnamese bc my family speak Vietnamese so yeah 🙂

  5. LOL forgive me for laughing but you are such a professional. the way you can flawlessly go from english to vietnamese is awesome. its so funny how easy you make it look switching from one language to another. how did you learn that?
